Hello everyone,
We’ve officially made it through our first half-term of the season, and what a brilliant start it’s been! 💜
It’s been amazing to see new and returning dancers settling into classes, making progress, and bringing so much energy and joy into the studio. We’re so proud of how everyone has started the year.
As we head into half term next week, this newsletter will keep you up to date with everything happening at BDPA — from key dates and upcoming events to holiday activities and reminders for the weeks ahead.

Uniform Reminders!
As the colder months set in, dancers must arrive and leave in BDPA warm-ups — this includes a BDPA T-shirt, hoodie, and plain black joggers/Leggings, with their leotard/tights (or other relevant class uniform) worn underneath. Once dancers are fully warmed up in class, they’ll be asked to remove their warm layers, but must put them back on before heading home.

Child Protection Policy (A/W25) 👧🏼
As the nights draw in and it becomes darker earlier:
- All primary-aged children must be collected from inside the building.
- Staff will not allow children to leave the classroom without an adult present.
- Senior students may leave on their own, but please remind them that if a parent/guardian isn’t outside, they must return inside the building and wait with staff.

Our BDPA Cheerleaders absolutely dominated at the Cheer Dance UK Pom Competition on Sunday 12th October… and guess what?
EVERY single one of our cheerleaders PLACED!
A HUGE shout-out to our incredible coaches Sophie & Nikki for giving up their own time voluntarily to be there on the day, mentoring, supporting and cheering our athletes every step of the way. That kind of dedication and love for the team is something truly special.
We're thrilled to announce that our Aerial Hoop students will perform in three showcases a year, celebrating their progress and hard work!
Our next showcase is "This is Christmas", which will take place on December 16th at 7pm.
Further information, including a link for ticketing, will be available on our social media channels very soon, as well as being sent out to parents, so make sure you're following!
We're thrilled to share that our 2026 annual show will be called "Disney Dreams: Park to Park", in celebration of our trip to perform at Disneyland Paris next year! Mark your calendars: show dates are the 11th & 12th of July.
Our 2025 Christmas Parties are fast approaching on Monday December 15th, with special guest DJ, Lindsey O'Connor!
Tots & Minis are from 4:30pm to 5:30pm, while Juniors & Seniors are from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
Get your tickets now via the parent portal & we can't wait to see you there!
From December 8th to the 13th, it's our annual BDPA Christmas Jumper Week! This year, we'll be raising money for Save the Children while doing this, with donation boxes all across BDPA and in our classrooms.
Pick out your best jumpers and please give generously!
And the week after our Christmas Jumper Week, it's Christmas Pyjamas Week! Come along to your BDPA classes in your favourite Christmas pyjamas from December 15th to 20th and let's have a great time to end the term!
GCSE Dance at BDPA - register interest!
We’re excited to be exploring another GCSE Dance (AQA) course starting in September 2026.
We’ve successfully run cohorts since 2016 and can only offer this every two years, so this is the main opportunity to enrol.

- Limited places available
- Minimum numbers required to run the course
- Priority given to BDPA students before opening to the public
- Open to students in Years 9 & 10 (Sept 2026)
