β¨ Why This Is Exclusive
Dancers in this class will:
π Open the show in their first full costume as part of a spectacular disney style introduction
π Close the show in their official finale T-shirt for an unforgettable ending
π¬ Receive additional stage time
π Be part of a select featured production group
There are no additional costume costs — dancers will simply wear their first costume for the opening and their finale T-shirt for the closing number.
This class is designed for dancers who want to be more involved, take on greater responsibility, and perform in the show’s most memorable moments.

PARTICIPANT ENTRY FORM & FEE DEADLINE (SIGN UP HERE)
PARTICIPANT ENRTY FORM - CLICK HEREParticipant Form & Fee Deadline: Sunday 12th April 2026
Participant Fee (Non-Refundable): £27.50 per child
This includes:
- Finale T-shirt (to be worn for the finale), performers will receive this on the 11th July at the theatre
- Professional photo downloads (from show programme, not on stage)
- Attendance at Show Programme Photo Day & Dress Rehearsal (Sunday 7th June 2026)
To secure your child’s place in the show, the online participation form must be completed and the participant fee paid by Sunday, 12th April 2026
Please note: once the show licence application has been submitted to Lancashire County Council, no additional students can be added. If the deadline is missed, students are welcome to continue attending regular classes, but will not be eligible to take part in the show.
Participation in the Annual Showcase requires full commitment to the Show Programme/Photo Day, technical rehearsal and all scheduled performances.
By signing up, you are confirming that your child will be available to attend and perform on both show days and in all performances allocated to them.
We are unable to accommodate single-day participation or selective performances, as this impacts staging, choreography and the overall organisation of the show.
IF CHILDREN HAVE EXTERNAL PERFORMING COMMITMENTS OUTSIDE OF BDPA β LICENSING & CHAPERONE REQUIREMENTS
If your child attends another dance school or performing arts organisation and performs elsewhere, this must be declared.
A child may perform for up to 4 days within a six month period without requiring a performance licence. If your child’s external performances, combined with our show take them over this 4-day allowance, a performance licence will be required.
In these circumstances:
- An administration fee of £30 will apply to cover the additional paperwork and coordination required.
- Your child must be supervised by either a parent (acting as their own child’s chaperone) or an approved licensed chaperone.
If Base Dance arranges a licensed chaperone, this will be charged at the National Minimum Wage per hour, for the duration required.
These measures ensure full safeguarding and compliance with child performance licensing regulations.
CROSSOVER PERFORMERS (LITTLE STARS & MAIN SHOW)
Some students will perform in both the Little Stars Show and the Main Show due to their class allocation. These few students have already been identified. Individual arrangements will be made, and parents/guardians will be contacted after sign-up with a detailed schedule.
Crossover performers will need to be collected between performances and leave the theatre to break up their time at the venue, in line with child performance licensing requirements.
COSTUME COSTS PER DANCE ROUTINE
Costume information: Released on 1st April 2026
We have given the teachers a budget of £35 per routine. This does not include postage and packaging. We aim to be creative yet economical with costumes.
Some routines might require purchasing personal costumes. Teachers are, of course, going to try not use the full budget.
For ballet, tap, and jazz, one costume will be the class uniform.
Costumes and props will be required for the Show Programme Photo Day & Dress Run Through on Sunday, 7th June 2026. So please make sure you have the costumes by 31st May.
COSTUME INFORMATION
Costume information: Released 1st April 2026
To help keep overall costs as low as possible, families may be provided with links and examples to source costumes directly. We have found this to be the most cost-effective and flexible option, as parents often secure better prices, find suitable alternatives, ensure their child has the correct sizes, for their child or may already have items at home.
If parents are sourcing costumes themselves, all items must be ordered, received and fully tried on by 31st May 2026. This ensures every dancer has their complete costume ready for Show Programme Photo Day on Sunday, 7th June 2026.
If we feel it is more practical for the studio to purchase a full class costume (for example, to reduce postage costs or ensure consistency), we will organise this on your behalf. In this case, full payment will be required before the order is placed.
Our aim is always to keep costs fair, organised and manageable for all families.
Costume information: Released 1st April 2026 via this website
VOLUNTEER CHAPERONE APPLICATION FORM
VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORMWe are currently inviting Parent/Helper Chaperones (18+) to volunteer at our upcoming shows.
Chaperoning is a vital safeguarding role, ensuring all performers are safe, supported, and supervised backstage throughout the event.
To chaperone, you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Provide a passport-style photo (digital upload)
- Hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing for us to apply for one)
- Provide a copy of your chaperone licence, if already held
- Be willing to watch a short chaperone training video
If you do not currently hold an Enhanced DBS, we will apply for one on your behalf. To allow enough time for processing, there is a deadline, enhanced DBS's can take 4-6 weeks to process.
Please keep in mind:
- You must confirm which performance you are watching before offering your availability to chaperone.
- You cannot chaperone and watch the same performance, nor can you stand in the wings during your child’s routine.
- Chaperoning is a volunteer role to support all children, so you may not be placed in the same room as your own child.
- This is a safeguarding duty, not an observational, social role or to spend time with your child specifically.
π To register as a chaperone, please do so by clicking the button below.
For more information, please refer to Lancashire County Council’s guidance:
π Chaperoning of Children in Entertainment – LCC https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/children-education-families/keeping-children-safe/children-in-employment-and-entertainment/chaperoning-of-children-in-entertainment/
Thank you so much for your support in helping us run a safe and successful event.
