Parent questions

Everything you need to get started

Helpful information for families choosing the right NexGen classes.

What school years are included in NexGen?
NexGen is our core pathway for students in School Years 3–6. Some classes are shared with neighbouring age groups, so the exact eligible school years are shown in the timetable.
Does my child need previous experience?
Many NexGen classes welcome students with different levels of experience. Classes marked Level 2+ or Level 3+ require the appropriate skill level, so new starters should select a general class unless advised otherwise.
Can my child attend more than one class?
Yes. Many students combine dance, cheer, aerial hoop and acrobatics. This allows them to develop different skills and enjoy a more varied weekly programme.
Why do some classes have wider age ranges?
Some classes are intentionally shared across NexGen, Ignite or neighbouring pathways. This allows students to train with others working at a similar stage or skill level.
What should my child wear for their trial?
Comfortable clothing that allows them to move freely is suitable for an initial trial. The team can then explain any uniform, footwear or hair requirements for the chosen class.
