Find their Base Dance pathway

How much do they want to do?

One class is enough—but there is always more to explore.

Every student can choose the level of involvement that suits their interests, goals and family routine. They may enjoy one recreational class each week, add more styles, work towards a Cheer Team or join our Performance & Competition pathway.

Performance & Competition Team

How weekly classes support the team

The team works on specific performances and events on Saturday afternoons. Weekly classes provide the skills dancers need to progress and access more opportunities.

1

Minimum

Attend at least one of Ballet, Tap & Jazz, Contemporary or Acrobatics.

2

Ideal

Attend two of the three core subjects for stronger development and more versatility.

3

Perfect for a competitive dancer

Ballet, Tap & Jazz plus Contemporary and Acrobatics provides the fullest technical foundation.

+

Street Dance helps too

Street Dance adds rhythm, performance confidence, musicality and another movement style.

Why take more than one style?

Different classes develop different strengths

Combining subjects helps students become more confident, adaptable and well-rounded performers.

Ballet, Tap & Jazz

Supports technique, posture, musicality, coordination and strong dance foundations.

Contemporary

Develops expression, movement quality, creativity, transitions and performance maturity.

Acrobatics & Tumbling

Builds strength, flexibility, control, power and safe progression through physical skills.

Street, Cheer & Pom

Adds energy, rhythm, teamwork, confidence and strong performance skills.

Every pathway remains a choice

Students do not need to join a team or attend several classes to be a valued member of Base Dance. Example timetables are suggestions, not fixed packages. All classes remain subject to age range, current availability, selection, tryout, level and existing-enrolment requirements. Performance Team and Cheer Team training times are provided separately after selection.
