How weekly classes support the team
The team trains on Saturdays from 2:30pm–4:30pm for specific shows, performances and competitions. Weekly classes provide the technique, strength and versatility dancers need to progress.
Minimum requirement
Attend at least one core subject: Ballet, Tap & Jazz, Contemporary or Acrobatics.
Our recommendation
We recommend two core subjects for stronger development, greater versatility and more performance options.
Strongest route
Ballet, Tap & Jazz plus Contemporary and Acrobatics provides the fullest technical foundation for competitive dancers.
Helpful extra
Street Dance adds rhythm, musicality, performance confidence and a contrasting movement style.
Different classes develop different strengths
Combining subjects helps students become more confident, adaptable and well-rounded performers.
Ballet, Tap & Jazz
Supports technique, posture, musicality, coordination and strong dance foundations.
Contemporary
Develops expression, movement quality, creativity, transitions and performance maturity.
Acrobatics & Tumbling
Builds strength, flexibility, control, power and safe progression through physical skills.
Street, Cheer & Pom
Adds energy, rhythm, teamwork, confidence and strong performance skills.
Every pathway remains a choice
Students do not need to join a team or attend several classes to be a valued member of Base Dance. Example timetables are recommendations, not fixed packages. All classes remain subject to age range, current availability, selection, tryout, level and existing-enrolment requirements. The Show & Competition Team currently trains on Saturdays from 2:30pm–4:30pm for School Years 2–13. Cheer squad placement and requirements are confirmed through the tryout process.
