Before choosing pieces

Four uniform rules for every class

The collection is designed to offer choice, but the correct combination still depends on the style being taught.

01

Follow the class guide

A crop top, joggers or shorts may be suitable for one class but not another.

02

Keep hair secure

Use the low-bun or tied-back guidance shown for the relevant style.

03

Wear the correct shoes

Fashion trainers, outdoor shoes and unsuitable footwear are not class shoes.

04

Remove warm-up layers

Hoodies and joggers must be removed whenever the teacher needs to see alignment or keep training safe.

Official uniform policy: once enrolled, students are required to wear the official Base Dance uniform for class, warm-ups and occasions where they represent the studio. Merchandise bought at external events is for personal use rather than studio classwear, and underwear must not be visible when uniform is worn.

Ordering and launch

The new range launches in September

Product sizes, ordering details and the live shop link will be shared as the range goes on sale. Until then, continue following the current class uniform requirements.

Uniform questions

Before you place an order

These answers cover the most important parts of the September change.

No. The collection is designed to give families suitable options. Use the class guide to select the correct top, bottom and footwear for the classes your dancer attends.

The existing level colours, skirts, cardigans, tights, socks and shoes remain. From FL1 upwards, the black leotard becomes the new printed black Base Dance leotard. Early Years and First Steps stay in the pale pink all-in-one.

They can be worn for arrivals, departures and warm-ups. Some styles, including Streetdance and Commercial, may use them as classwear. In technical, apparatus and acrobatic classes they must be removed whenever the teacher needs clear alignment or safer movement.

Continue following the current uniform requirements until the new range launches. Any transition arrangements for existing branded items will be communicated separately before September.

Trial students can wear safe, fitted dancewear or activewear with the correct footwear for the style. The official Base Dance uniform can be ordered after enrolment.
