  • Academies (Show & Event Classes )

At BDPA our Academy Classes focus on a specific area, and are perfect for children and young people who wish to have an out-of-school interest/hobby, attend small shows, attend exams and competitions and make new friends.

We have academies in Contemporary, Acrobatics, Technique Academy (Ballet, Tap & Jazz) and Street Dance.

Our academies are for dancers who wish to take part in fun events on a casual basis a few times per year. These sessions are great for making friends, socialising, and are a little more involved than 'Just Take a Class'.

  • Pathway

    Our Pathway Program

At BDPA our Pre-Professional Program is for aspiring, energetic, highly motivated, and committed children and young people aged 11-16 years, who absolutely love performing arts. It is all they want to do - for fun memories or they are aiming to prepare for professional performing arts training after leaving BDPA.

The pre-professional program is high intensity - enrolling in the program requires:

    • Attendance to required classes
    • 2 Examination sessions
    • Performances
    • Competitions - locally, nationally, and potentially internationally per each academic year
    • Our annual school show.

The program is designed to nurture and challenge advanced skills, whilst being a part of a fun and committed team of like-minded dancers.

Early training at a high level is essential because a career in the performing arts or any other profession you choose can be very competitive.

Therefore, growing up with a great work ethic and a growth mindset, together with proper training in the early years, is essential to prepare for your next adventures after BDPA.

Our pathway program students are required to participate in the following classes:

    • Ballet
    • Jazz
    • Examination class
    • Two of our academies (Acro, Contemporary, Commercial, or Streetdance)
    • Elite team

Conditions and Aims to qualify as a pathway student
