Come and experience hip hop /street dance, learn the moves you now see on music videos. We will spend up to 4 weeks learning a dance routine to a full or mixed song. At the end of the course we will then perform the routine as if we were to perform on stage giving everyone a position and adding entrance and exits from the dance floor. If anyone has a hidden talent feel free to tell me why not show off your talents. We may ask for permission to video the routine and take photos for the website; you don’t have to take part in this if you don’t want to.

This class is lots of fun, everyone laughs and feedback so far is it’s helping to build confidence on the dance floor!

Hip Hop Age 7 to 14 yrs

This class is for our younger generation who would like to start a hobby or have something to look forward to. I remember wanting to dance like pop stars those were the days and times change! If you like hip hop/street and feel you want to have a go this is the class for you. We will learn a routine up to 4 weeks and again perform this routine at the end of the course as though we were on stage.

This is a fun class everyone will be an important part of the routine and if any of you have any hidden talents and would like to show them off please tell me.

We may ask for permission from parents to video and take photos of finished performances to add to the website again no one is obliged to take part in this.

Free Dance Adults 15+

Free Dance means we will learn a dance routine over 4 to 5 weeks again to musical theatre or pop music for example Grease, Rocky Horror, Thriller etc... A fun class so you can let your hair down. At this class cheesy moves are aloud. At the end of the 4 to 5 weeks we will have a finished performance.
This is not just a class for the girls, boys welcome too we will need you for grease! Bring your partner or spouse and have some quality time having fun for 1 hour a week.
If you fancy a variety of styles of dance this is the class for you even if you can act or sing

Show Class 7 to 14 yrs
Group and show work, this class is to give everyone the chance to work together and as above learn mixed routines.

Fun Dance Ages 3 to 6 yrs

We have called this class fun dance as we will learn basic hip hop moves in a fun way to music that this age group will recognise. When the moves are mastered we will then start to learn routines. We may ask parents to stay for this class and wait in the porch area if we don’t have a helper the reason for this is toilet breaks. All Helpers are enhanced CRB checked to a level for working with children certificates can be seen upon request.

With all the classes I will be asking for permission to take photographs and videos for our growing website and portfolio. If you don’t want to appear on the website please let us know.

Break Dancing Classes 7 and up
Big thanks for the UC crew offering their services. At t he classes you will learn the basics of break dancing from a well formed and skilled group that are specialists in this form of dance.

Break Dancing Sessions will be held to continue the training.

UC Crews aims are:

• To Change the lives of Young People in St Helens and the surrounding areas
• To provide more activities that increase the Health & Fitness of young people
• To encourage more young people to learn the art form of dance
• To encourage young people to get involved with community activities.
• To be the voice for the Break Dancing community in St Helens and the surrounding areas .
